The City offers a variety of fellowship experiences for students enrolled in accredited academic programs. Investing in Manufacturing  The New York Finger Lakes Region, led by the City, has received designation as a “Manufacturing Community” by the U.S. Department of Commerce under the Investing in Manufacturing Communities Partnership (IMCP). Rochester is one of only 12 regions nationwide to receive this designation, which offers preferential consideration for up to $1.3 billion in federal assistance. Learn more >

Biz Kids  Biz Kid$ is a free week-long camp that teaches kids ages 10-18 how to start their own business. Biz Kid$ camp lays the foundation of entrepreneurial know-how and includes meals, prizes and business supplies. Held four times a year, each camp serves about 20-25 students. Learn more >

Contracts, Bids, RFPs  The City of Rochester procures goods and services through two different processes, depending upon legal requirements. Procurement requiring competitive bidding, such as for commodities and public works contracts, are administered by the Bureau of Purchasing.
