Investing in Manufacturing  The New York Finger Lakes Region, led by the City, has received designation as a “Manufacturing Community” by the U.S. Department of Commerce under the Investing in Manufacturing Communities Partnership (IMCP). The City offers a variety of internship experiences for students enrolled in accredited academic programs. While not all City internships are paid positions, college credit may be offered through arrangements with your school and supervising professor. Procurement requiring competitive bidding, such as for commodities and public works contracts, are administered by the Bureau of Purchasing.
