(Tuesday, Feb 1, 2022) – Today we mark the beginning of Black History Month. Each February across our nation, we take this opportunity to celebrate and commemorate the contributions of Black Americans. From peanut butter and light bulbs, to home security systems and blood banks, Black-Americans have played an instrumental role to advance our society. I invite citizens join to me in celebrating one or more of our wonderful community events this month. Personally, I will be visiting schools, celebrating the birthday of a local centenarian, hosting a Mayor on the Block, and more.
