Rochester Police Department's Twitter Town Hall

What is a Twitter Town Hall?

The Rochester Police Department wants to hear from you on Twitter! Twitter Town Halls provide an online forum during pre-established time frames to allow the community the opportunity to ask real-time questions to the Rochester Police Department. Chief James M. Sheppard will use these Twitter sessions to elicit questions and comments.

When are the Twitter Town Halls?

Beginning in January 2013, Rochester Police Chief Sheppard will host a series of Twitter Town Hall sessions.

  • Every Tuesday in January from 3-4 p.m.
  • The first session will be held on Jan. 8.
  • Other sessions are January 15, 22, and 29.

How do I participate?

  1. You must have a Twitter account.
  2. Follow the Rochester Police Department Twitter feed: @RochesterNYPD
  3. Include the hashtag #RPDChief with your tweet.

Sample tweets to @RochesterNYPD

  • What can I do to protect my kid from bullys? #RPDChief
