Description:

Dr. Bill Valenti, co-founder and staff physician at Trillium Health, will give a talk on the AIDS timeline, starting with the emergence of the epidemic in 1981, through today’s efforts to End the Epidemic by 2020.

He will read excerpts from his self-published book, AIDS: A Matter of Urgency, and describe the Rochester community’s early response to the epidemic and the impact this response had.

His talk will be followed by a Q&A session, as well as a book signing from 1 to 2 p.m. All proceeds will be donated to Trillium Health’s Fund to End the HIV Epidemic by 2020.

This program will be held in the Kate Gleason Auditorium, 1st floor of Central’s Bausch and Lomb Public Library Building, 115 South Ave., Rochester, NY 14604.
