News Release -- Public Market Kicks Off Fall Season with New Oktoberfest Celebration

(Wednesday, Sept. 20, 2023) – The fall season at the City of Rochester Public Market kicks off Friday with the inaugural Oktoberfest celebration from 5 to 9 p.m., Friday, Sept. 22 at the Market, 280 N. Union St.

This new family friendly Market event will feature activities and games for all ages, traditional German food, food trucks, live music and performances, and a wide array of German-inspired beer and wine.

Co-hosted by Rohrbach Brewing Company, patrons can savor the season by sampling Rohrbach’s German Helles Lager, Rohrbach Dunkel and Spaten German lagers, plus a variety of wines including German Rieslings.

The Krazy Firemen, an eight-piece big band, will play traditional authentic German music. The German Federation will provide performances for all ages; and attendees are welcome to sign up for a national stein holding competition.

Admission is free, gates open at 5 p.m., and live music and entertainment will take place from 6 to 9 p.m.
