Roc the Solar Eclipse at the Public Market

The
City of Rochester Public Market announces Roc the Solar Eclipse at the Public
Market, an all-day celebration and viewing party of one of the rarest and most
spectacular events in nature, on Monday, April 8 from 10 AM – 5 PM. In
partnership with Rohrbach Brewing Company and Laughing Gull Chocolates, Roc the
Solar Eclipse will feature educational, family-friendly activities,
entertainment, eclipse-themed crafts, chocolate and beer tastings, food trucks,
a viewing party with complimentary solar eclipse glasses, specialty eclipse
merchandise, and more. There is a sensory-friendly safe space option open to
all. Doors open at 9 AM.
On
Monday, April 8, 2024 around 3:20 PM, there will be a total solar eclipse, when
the moon covers the sun disk completely. Rochester, NY is in the path of
totality, resulting in a powerful, once-in-a-lifetime experience.
