Description:

Local author Linda Sue Park will be appearing at three Monroe County libraries as part of Teen Read Week™. Ms. Park will be discussing her book, A Long Walk to Water, based on the true story of Salva Dut, one of the Lost Boys of Sudan, who later came to Rochester and founded Water for South Sudan Inc. a not-for-profit corporation, whose mission is to drill borehole wells which bring safe drinking water to Southern Sudan’s remote villages, transforming lives in the process. 

This program will be held in the Kate Gleason Auditorium, 1st floor of Central's Bausch & Lomb Public Library Building. Registration is not required.

Ms. Park will also appear at the Seymour Library in Brockport on Wednesday, October 19th from 6:30 - 8:00 p.m. (call or stop by to register) and at the Penfield Public Library on Thursday, October 20th from 7:00 - 8:30 p.m. (call or stop by to register).

Book signings with the author will follow each of these events.
