(Wednesday, August 12, 2015) — Giant Panda Guerilla Dub Squad and Driftwood will perform at the Windstream Party in the Park on the ESL Stage beginning at 5 p.m., tomorrow, Thursday, August 13 at Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Park, located at the corner of Chestnut Street and Court Street Downtown. This is the final event of the season.
“I invite everyone to come Downtown to enjoy the final Windstream Party in the Park concert,” said Mayor Lovely A. Warren. “The top notch talent, food trucks, kid-friendly activities and low admission price make this a great value. Events like this create vitality in the community, which leads to safer neighborhoods, more jobs and better educational opportunities.”
ESL, MVP Healthcare and NEWS10NBC have joined Windstream as 2015 event partners. MVP provides a Family Fun Zone and NEWS10NBC is the event’s television sponsor.
Food from local food trucks and vendors and local beer from Genesee Brewing Co. will be available for purchase on site.
Individual, general admission tickets for Party in the Park are $5 (children 12 and under are free). Tickets may be purchased at the gate, through Ticketmaster (online with associated service charges at www.ticketmaster.com or over the phone by calling 1-800-745-3000), or at the Blue Cross Arena at the War Memorial box office, 100 Exchange Blvd.
Patrons may bring one sealed bottle of water into the Party in the Park concerts. Lawn chairs, bicycles, skateboards, in-line skates and pets are not permitted.
Parking is available at nearby garages including the Washington Square Garage, 111 Woodbury Blvd., the Court Street Garage, 194 Court St. and at the East End Garage, 475 E. Main St. Parking is also available at The Strong, 1 Manhattan Square Dr.
Windstream Party in the Park is produced by Gerard Fisher of Up All Night Presents and sponsored by the City of Rochester, Windstream, ESL, MVP, The Strong, Genesee Brewing Company, Labatt Blue Light, iHeart Media (100.5 The Drive, Kiss 106.7, Oldies 107.3, 95.1 The Brew, Sunny 102.3, WHAM 1180, Sports 1280) and NEWS10NBC.
