News Release - City Offices to Close Friday for Christmas Day

(Friday, Dec. 18, 2015) – City Hall, R-Centers, Neighborhood Service Centers and other administrative offices will be closed on Friday, Dec. 25, in observance of Christmas day.

The following City services will also be affected by the holiday schedule:

  • Refuse and recycling collection will be on regular schedule for Thursday, Dec. 24. Refuse and recycling collection scheduled for Friday, Dec. 25 will be collected Saturday, Dec. 26. There will be no collection on Dec. 25. 
  • City branch libraries will be closed on Thursday, Dec. 24, and Friday, Dec. 25.
  • City R-Centers will be closed Friday, Dec. 25 and Saturday, Dec. 26.
  •  The 311 Call Center will be closed on Friday, Dec. 25.
  •  Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Park and Genesee Valley Park ice rinks will be closed on Friday, Dec. 25.
  • The Rochester Public Market will be open during its regular days and operating hours including Thursday, Dec. 24 (Christmas Eve).
