2024 Milling and Resurfacing Project (Park Avenue and St. Paul Street)

Project Description

This is a milling and resurfacing project consisting of the following street segments located in the City of Rochester:

  • Park Avenue (Alexander Street to East Avenue)
  • St. Paul Street (Lowell Street to Riverbank Place)
  • St. Paul Street (Norton Street to Tyler Street)
  • Monroe Avenue at Sumner Park (safety improvements only) 

Project Location Maps

This project involves milling off the old pavement surface and paving a new surface. Street improvements will also include spot curb and sidewalk replacements, accessible curb ramp replacements, traffic signal and sign improvements, upgrades to catch basins and manhole frames and covers, new pavement markings, bus stop landing pads, minor tree plantings and / or removals, curb bump-outs, and improvements to bicycle and pedestrian facilities. Some improvements may affect existing on-street parking.

Final Design: Fall 2023 
Bidding and award: Winter 2023 to Spring 2023
Construction: Spring 2024 to Fall 2025
