The Market will be decked out in holiday lights, and festive music, and have limitless local shopping and unique gift items. This year, Santa and the horse-drawn carriage rides are BACK! Visit Santa from 9 a.m. to noon, and enjoy horse-drawn carriage rides from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
A special evening market Thursday, December 16th, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., in collaboration with the Market District Business Association and Specials at Market District restaurants and shops! Enjoy an evening market with unique shopping, and entertainment throughout the Market District, Santa and carriage rides!
Also consider giving the gift of the Market during the holiday season--get some Public Market Gift Tokens or Market Merchandise for your family and friends at the Token Center behind the Market Office, during regular Market days and hours!

Calling all bakers!
The City of Rochester’s Public Market announces its Holiday Cookie Contest to take place on Sunday, December 8 at 12 p.m. at the Market Office, with market gift token prizes for first, second, and third place winners! Participants are asked to drop off a half dozen of their best holiday cookies, with a list of ingredients, to the Market Office on Saturday, December 7 between 8 a.m.-1 p.m., or Sunday, December 8 between 8 a.m. to 11 a.m.
Judges will award a first, second, and third place winner with market gift token prizes awarded to the top contestants ($150 for first, $75 for second, and $55 for third place!) Winners will be featured on the City of Rochester’s Website and Market’s social media accounts, with a chance to be featured in the local newspaper. Market gift tokens may be redeemed with any food and/or beverage vendors selling products during regular market days, (Tuesday and Thursday 6 a.m. to 1 p.m. and Saturday 6 a.m. to 3 p.m.).
