Roc’n Ritmo returns to downtown with a new date and Caña Brava

Mayor Malik D. Evans, and the City of Rochester’s Hispanic Heritage Committee today announced the return of Roc’n Ritmo, an electrifying celebration of Latin music and culture. This year’s event will take place 5 to 11 p.m., Saturday, June 7, 2025, at Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Park, 353 Court St.  

Headlining is the legendary Caña Brava, a Puerto Rican tropical music group that has graced the stages of Madison Square Garden and Radio City Music Hall. Known for their high-energy performances and signature blend of merengue and bachata, the legendary Caña Brava is known to put on a lively concert. Franco “El Matatan” returns as the evening’s host. 

“I listened to some Caña Brava and I can say that it does not disappoint,” said Mayor Evans. “This music is festive and it will make you move.”  

Roc’n Ritmo will also showcase a variety of local entertainment, food vendors, and interactive activities.  

General admission is free this year. An enhanced VIP experience is available for $25 and can be purchased online at www.cityofrochester.gov/rocnritmo

Roc’n Ritmo is a signature event presented by the City of Rochester’s Hispanic Heritage Committee, dedicated to celebrating Latin culture through music, dance, and community engagement. The event brings together world-class musicians, local talent, and a diverse audience to experience the rich traditions of Hispanic heritage in the heart of Rochester.
