Michael A. Patterson

Michael Patterson was appointed to the Council to represent the Northeast District on December 17, 2013 to fill the vacancy created by Mayor Warren’s resignation from the North East Council seat.  Councilmember Patterson serves the Council as the Chair of the Neighborhood and Business Development Committee, and as a member of the Finance Committee.

Bridget Monroe

Bridget A. Monroe is a longtime resident of Rochester’s Northwest district, where she’s planted her roots, raised her family and dedicated herself to bettering the lives of her neighbors. 

From 1998 to 2014, Bridget worked as an analyst for Rochester City Council, contributing to a variety of projects including the revision of the Zoning Code and the completion of the 2000 Comprehensive Plan. Bridget helped build infrastructure to bring living wages to Rochester residents, and protect tenants and homeowners from the dangers of lead paint.  

Mary Lupien

First elected to City Council in January 2020, Mary is passionate about fighting poverty, institutional racism, housing rights, and improving the quality of life for all Rochesterians.  She seeks to increase civic engagement by increasing transparency of the legislative process and to govern alongside the community.

Kim Smith

Kim Smith is a City of Rochester native elected to City Council in 2020. Her work on City Council has prioritized community-building initiatives as she works to forge relationships that lead to effective governing.  

LaShay D. Harris

In 2019, after her appointment as the representative for the City Council-South District and the completion of her first term as County Legislator for the 27th District, Councilmember LaShay D. Harris has proven to be a persistent pillar of service in the Rochester community. 

Miguel A. Meléndez, Jr.

About the President

Miguel A. Meléndez Jr. is a Rochester native with significant experience in community development and grassroots organizing.  

Professionally, Miguel is the Chief Community Engagement officer at Ibero-American Action League, sharing his time and talents to improve planning efforts, create partnerships, enhance case management services, and support residents in their quest to improve quality of life in their neighborhoods.
