The hard work and dedication of citizens who serve on more than a dozen boards, committees, or commissions contribute to the successful operation and development of our city. These bodies have a positive and direct effect on Rochester's quality of life and economic vitality.
Board members, who serve in an advisory capacity, are responsible for overseeing and administrating specific functions. They meet monthly to perform tasks such as advising the legislative and executive branches of the city government, interpreting the city’s ordinances and zoning code, or protecting the historic and environmental integrity of our community.
