The RocCity Coalition has compiled a new tool to help make sure that you’re getting the most out of the city, with a list of 101 unique and interesting destinations and experiences within the various neighborhoods in Rochester. The RocCity Coalition is a collaboration of young professionals organizations in Rochester.
We already know what a great city Rochester is to live, work, and play, but with the dozens of new businesses and restaurants opening every year, you might be missing out on something! “My hope is that you will use the new #RocCity101 List to explore further the restaurants, unique shops, attractions and festivals that make Rochester such a wonderful place to live, work, and play,” said Mayor Richards. “Our city has so much to offer and with your help, we can make our city a place where all of our residents can have the opportunity to thrive and prosper.”
The City has several festivals, locations, and city-sponsored or supported events on the list: The Central Library , Fringe Festival , Jazz Fest , Liberty Pole Lighting, Manhattan Square Park, Mt. Hope Cemetery, Party in the Park, Rochester Public Market and the Verona Street Animal Society.
Each location on the #RocCity101 List is linked to Yelp — a social media guide that allows users to bookmark locations, navigate to them, and then share feedback on their experience there. Use this guide along with the City’s “What’s Nearby” built-in app, which is accessible on your mobile device, to maximize your experience of all things Rochester!
