Genesee Crossroads Park Revitalization Project
(Riverway from East Main Street to Andrews Street on the east side)
About the project
Genesee Crossroads Park is a linear public park along the east bank of the Genesee River which is connected to Austin Steward Plaza (formerly Charles Carroll Plaza) on the west side of the river, via the Sister Cities Pedestrian Bridge.
This ROC the Riverway Project includes a multi-phased plan for park revitalization to create a more attractive, vibrant public space. Improvements will include: improved access to the river and riverside pedestrian promenade to meet multi-use trail standards, including full ADA accessibility; new lighting and landscaping; and public space upgrades. The project will include enhanced connections to the Genesee Riverway Trail system, and conceptual plans for a future trail connection to East Main Street.
