South Avenue and Elmwood Avenue Improvement Projecct
About the Project
The South Avenue and Elmwood Avenue Improvement Project was a City of Rochester and County of Monroe 131K project which consisted of reconstructing two City of Rochester streets. The project also included a cycle track connection along Elmwood Avenue between the Highland Trail and the Elmwood Cycle Track. The project is now substantially complete.

Project Scope
The projects consists of full depth pavement reconstruction. Additional improvements will also include new sidewalk, curb, curb ramps, driveway aprons, drainage basins, water main, water services, hydrants, lighting, signals, signing, pavement markings, tree plantings, pedestrian crossing improvements, and bicycle accommodations.
Additional private utility adjustments were made in advance of the construction phase of the project.
