Calling all holiday cookie crafters
Each year, the City of Rochester Public Market hosts an open Holiday Cookie Contest in conjunction with the annual Holidays at the Market special events! Contestants are asked to drop off a half-dozen of their cookies, along with a list of ingredients, to the Public Market Office on Saturday, December 14 between 8 a.m. and 1 p.m., or on Sunday, December 15 between 8 a.m. and 11 a.m. Judging will commence at 12 p.m. on December 15, with first, second and third place winners awarded $150, $75, and $55 in Market Gift Tokens! Judges include local food experts, critics, and writers, who will rank the entries on taste, texture, originality, and presentation. Limit one recipe per contestant.
Winners will be featured on the City of Rochester’s website and the Public Market’s popular social media accounts; in addition, the Market will send a media release featuring the winners to local media.
