Best parking at the Market

The Market offers an incentive-reward program for those who use bicycles for transportation to and from the City of Rochester Public Market!

How it works

Register for the program at the Market Office on any regular Market day during open hours (Tuesday and Thursday 6 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday 5 a.m. to 3 p.m.), or during any free-admission official Market special event.

Receive your official Best Parking at the Market bike helmet sticker (see right) and program flyer in the Market Office, the 2-story brick building located in the center of the market.

Affix your sticker to your bike helmet. (Yeah, we want you to wear a helmet. It's good for you!)

Each time you ride a bike to a regular Market shopping day or free-admission special event, you can enter monthly drawings for Market Gift Tokens. Note that you can participate in this program using community bike-share bikes as well.

There’s no limit to the number of times you can win!

The prize drawings are done every month. One monthly drawing factors in the number of times a participant rides to the Market that month--the more times you ride, the greater chance you have to win that drawing. The other drawing is truly random--we do these because we wouldn't want someone *not* to ride if they don't feel like they can ride enough to win! In other words, every time you ride to the Market, you have a chance to win!

To enter the prize drawings for each time you bike to a regular Market day or special event:

Drop by the Market Office (the two-story brick house) with your helmet and sticker, and sign in for the weekly drawing---find the clipboard on the desk in the Office lobby.

Or, send a smartphone selfie showing your official helmet sticker with its number, bike, and any recognizable piece of the Market to pmarket@cityofrochester.gov.
