RPD: Neighborhood Sections and Service Centers

The Rochester Police Department (RPD) operates under a neighborhood-based, four-Section patrol model with police officers assigned to neighborhood beats to engage in true community policing initiatives. The four Sections are further organized into 37 patrol beats.

The Rochester Police Department Patrol Division consists of four Patrol Sections: 

The RPD Patrol Division currently works out of three Patrol Section Offices located at: 

  • 1099 Jay Street (Lake and Genesee Sections) 
  • 630 N. Clinton Avenue (Clinton and Goodman Sections) 
 

Proposed Section Office Locations

New locations have been proposed as sites for the Lake and Goodman Section Offices. A search for the future site of the Genesee Section Office is ongoing. The Central Section Office, at 30 N. Clinton Avenue, and the Clinton Section Office, at 630 N. Clinton Avenue, will remain at their respective locations.
