Walk-in informal English instruction for adults

The City of Rochester is applying for a $10 million grant from New York State to improve the Four Corners section of downtown. Attend a public open house to learn about the opportunity and share your ideas. Your input will strengthen the grant application!

Come share your love of knitting and crocheting with a lively group of people! This is an in-person meet-up for adults. Bring your current project and meet new hobby friends.

The event will feature free family-friendly Autumn festivities including games and inflatables, and will encompass the City of Rochester’s popular Little Kids and Big Rigs, where kids can explore police cars, fire trucks, SWAT vehicles, an ambulance, dump trucks, garbage trucks, construction equipment, and much more!

Rochester was home to more than two dozen breweries prior to Prohibition. Join us for this tour celebrating “liquid bread” and the men who brewed it. After the tour, join us to lift a glass of local beer to history.

Open-air vintage market hosted within The Grove (266 E Broad Street) located right in the heart of Downtown Rochester. The Flea is a space for local creatives, collectors and vintage curators to gather and sell while connecting with their local customers every week.

This foundational tour is a 90-minute walk of approximately a mile on paved roads and uneven terrain. Includes visits to the graves of Susan B. Anthony and Frederick Douglass, as well as topics of local history, horticulture, geology, architecture, monument symbolism, and more.

The Men of Impact program builds a network of support, encourages personal growth, and enhances social cohesion through community discussions and mentorship.
