City set to lease prime lake view location
The City of Rochester seeks applications for a new tenant for space on the second floor of the William A. Johnson Port of Rochester Terminal Building, 1000 N. River St.
“We are looking for dynamic food and beverage people to dream up what this impressive space can be for visitors and residents alike,” said Mayor Malik D. Evans. “This location is in a class by itself with one-of-a-kind views of Lake Ontario and the Genesee River, so we want the food hall, restaurant, brew pub, or other food-related endeavor to match it.”
The available space is approximately 5,500 square feet and includes a central restaurant and bar area, commercial kitchen, and an outdoor, covered patio with expansive views of Lake Ontario and the Genesee River. The public entrance, which leads to the second-floor location, is directly accessible from Lake Avenue.
The Charlotte neighborhood is a mix of residential and small commercial properties, the City’s marina, and a large land area for recreational uses (Ontario Beach Park). Across the Genesee River are multiple marinas and restaurants.
Applications will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis until a suitable tenant is identified.
