Halloween at the Market to take place Oct. 27
Child-Focused Human Service Agencies Invited to Join the Fun
The City of Rochester Public Market is calling on the area’s children- and family-focused nonprofit organizations and agencies to join the fun at this year’s Halloween at the Market, one of Rochester’s most anticipated and popular annual gatherings of children and families. This year’s Halloween at the Market, sponsored by Fidelis Care, takes place from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 27, at 280 N. Union St.
The free, family friendly Halloween celebration offers participating agencies an opportunity to directly engage directly with more than 5,000 local families. In addition to the annual tradition of providing children a safe place-to-trick or treat in their Halloween costumes, Halloween at the Market serves as a fun and vibrant community-resource fair where organizations can foster personal connections, bring awareness to their services and form a lasting impression on the families they serve.
Participating organizations will be provided space beneath the Public Market’s covered outdoor sheds to offer treats to young trick-or-treaters, along with engaging activities and information about their programs and services. For-profit organizations or companies focused on supporting children and families are also encouraged to apply and may qualify to participate. Sales of products will not be permitted during the event.
