The goal of Rochester Community University (RCU) is to help residents learn how to advocate for themselves and their neighborhoods. Participants attend a series of workshops that give them insight into City Hall and local resources that they can then use to address issues affecting them.   

About the Project

The City's annual water main cleaning and lining project rehabilitates existing water mains to improve water quality and available flows for fire-fighting.

The Bureau of Water makes records and information available relating to:

• materials, sizes, and locations of City water mains and water services,
• reduced pressure zone backflow preventer specifications,
• new service permit specifications & fees,
• and hydrant use permits & fees.

All arterial and residential streets in the City of Rochester are flushed and swept. Early season sweeping begins in the spring, as sweepers clean the debris that accumulated during the winter months.
