All prospective employees of the Rochester Police Department (RPD) should be aware of the following criteria for employees regarding tattoos and body art, as directed by General Order 350 (Uniform, Equipment and Personal Appearance). Failure to comply with any of the below policies will be grounds of not being hired by the RPD.

Kitchens can be a dangerous area in the home and account for a high number of fires and injuries. In fact, cooking fires are the leading cause of residential fires and injuries in the nation. Three in 10 reported home fires start in the kitchen - more than any other place in the home.
The City will install bike racks in the public right of way. You can request a bike rack by emailing the Transportation Specialist.
Note: Requests for temporary bike racks at special events go through the Special Events Office and must be submitted by the event organizer or promoter.
