If you require special testing accommodations for a Civil Service Examination because of a documented disability, you must check the box on the first page of the online or paper application and forward a request, with supporting documentation pertaining to the disability, to the Department of Human Resource Management.  This request can either be e-mailed to the Department of Human Resource Management HR@cityofrochester.gov or mailed to 30 C

Talking to Children About Gun Safety

 Teach kids to follow these basic rules if they come into contact with a gun:

  • STOP!
  • Don't touch! 
  •  Remove yourself from the area 
  • Tell an adult 

Children must leave the area of where the gun is to avoid being harmed by someone who does not know to not handle it. A child as young as three years old may have enough finger strength to pull a trigger. 

Kids need to tell a trusted adult about a gun that has been found.

How to submit an application for Site Plan Review

If not already completed, register the project with a member of the Zoning Staff in the Permit Office. The Zoning Staff will issue a denied Certificate of Zoning Compliance indicating a site plan review application is required.
