Celebrating Black History
The City of Rochester's Black Heritage Committee honors Black History Month with a series of events that celebrate the cultural, historical, and social contributions of the African American community.
Activities range from gospel concerts to jazz performances and a keynote address. One highlight is the Black Heritage Gala, which explores African Americans' role in labor. The events, held at various venues, are designed to foster inclusivity, reflection, and celebration of Black heritage.
