2024 Party in the Park concert series continues Thursday with The Original Wailers and Badfish: A Tribute to Sublime

The Original Wailers featuring Al Anderson and Badfish: A Tribute to Sublime will perform at Party in the Park at 7 p.m., Thursday, July 25 at Dr. Martin Luther King Park, 353 Court St.

Party in the Park now features Pre-Parties to get the party started earlier, thanks to partnerships with local businesses who are offering live music and drink specials at nearby venues on East Avenue and Marshall Street.

Party in the Park continues every Thursday through Aug. 15. Gates open at 6 p.m. and performances begin at 7 p.m. at 353 Court St.

This year’s remaining Party in the Park lineup includes:

  • August 1: Start Making Sense: A Tribute to Talking Heads; Into the Now: A Tribute to Grateful Dead
  • Aug. 8: Cruel Summer: A LIVE Taylor Swift Band Experience; Dial Up
  • Aug. 15: Everclear; Shamarr Allen

General admission tickets for Party in the Park are $7 (children 12 and under are free). VIP Ultra Lounge tickets, which include admission, are $32 (while supplies last) but must be purchased in advance. Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased online at RochesterEvents.com or in-person at the Auditorium Theater, 885 E. Main St.

The Party in the Park VIP Ultra Lounge provides exclusive access to a VIP area with private restrooms, a full cash bar, table service, front stage access, chair massage, and a commemorative lanyard.

Craft beer lovers can enjoy the Beer Garden featuring a rotating showcase of New York State’s best IPAs, ciders, stouts, and more. The Bubbly Bar will also be returning with prosecco and mimosas. There will be happy hour specials at each show from 6–7:30 p.m.

Bazaar in the Park is a weekly collective of emerging designers, vintage collectors, and artisanal products, creating a community around art, crafts, fashion and discovery. New vendors arrive every other week.

Patrons may bring one sealed bottle of water into the Party in the Park concerts. Lawn chairs, bicycles, skateboards, in-line skates, and pets are prohibited.

Parking is available at nearby parking garages including the Washington Square Garage, 111 Woodbury Blvd., the Court Street Garage, 194 Court St., the East End Garage, 475 E. Main St., and The Strong Museum, 1 Manhattan Square.

Strangebird Brewery, 62 Marshall St.: Every Monday & Thursday during the Party in the Park series. Mondays: Happy Hour from 5–7 p.m. with a chance to win VIP tickets for the show that week. Thursdays: Get ready for the show while enjoying beer, cocktail specials, food, music, yard games, and weekly themed activities. Municipal parking available on the far end of Marshall Street.
