2nd annual Oktoberfest at the Rochester Public Market
The second annual Oktoberfest at the Rochester Public Market will be held from 5 to 10 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 20, at the City of Rochester Public Market, 280 Union St. There will be German music, dancing, and cultural offerings from the Federation of German Societies of Rochester. Rohrbach’s Brewing Company will be offering seasonal beers and Swan Market will be serving German cuisine.
While Oktoberfest is often an adult celebration, events at the Market prioritize family-activities. While beer will be available, there will be activities for the entire family to enjoy. The City of Rochester’s Rec on the Move mobile recreation center and staff will provide activities for children. Additionally, traditional German musicians and dancers will perform and encourage audience participation.
Oktoberfest is a collaboration of the Public Market and Rohrbach's Brewing Company, a prominent presence in the Market Business District and well versed in German beer, food and cultural traditions.
