One week left of open enrollment!

Attention All Full-Time City Employees:

The annual 2024 City of Rochester open enrollment period runs from now until November 22, 2024.

Open enrollment for 2024 will be conducted through Workday. You will receive an email notification from Workday letting you know that open enrollment has started.

You can review and change your benefits directly in Workday without any paper forms. Information regarding your options, along with instructions on how to select different plans and add or remove dependents from your coverage, will be included.

The following benefits are included in the city's annual open enrollment:

  • Medical
  • Medical Flexible Spending
  • Dental
  • Dependent Care Flexible Spending
  • Vision
  • Parking/Transit Reimbursement

You will find plan information in Workday as you go through the open enrollment process.

Important Information:

Medical | Dental | Vision
Your medical, dental, and vision plans remain the same, with the same dependents, unless you make a change. If no change is needed, no action is required.

Reminder: If you are adding a dependent to any of your plans, you will need to provide documentation. A copy of a marriage certificate is required if adding a spouse. A copy of a birth certificate is required if adding a dependent. These documents may be attached in Workday during the open enrollment process.

Health Reimbursement Account
If you are enrolled in the city’s health coverage, you will automatically receive $1,000 in an HRA effective Jan. 1, 2025. No enrollment is required. Details are below.

Flexible Spending (Medical and Dependent Care)
You must re-enroll in flexible spending each year if you wish to participate. Your enrollment does not roll over from year to year.

The maximum annual reimbursement for 2025 Medical FSA is $3,200.
The maximum annual reimbursement for 2025 Dependent Care FSA is $5,000 per household.

Parking/Transit Reimbursement Account
You must re-enroll in the Parking/Transit Reimbursement Account each year if you wish to participate. Your enrollment does not roll over from year to year.

Alternative Health Benefits
Full-time employees who receive health benefits as a dependent on someone else’s plan (e.g., spouse, domestic partner, parent) must complete an Application for Alternative Health Benefits and provide the required documentation every year. Details are below.

Reminder: For Medical | Dental | Vision, no action is required if no changes are needed.
