Come and experience a Rochester icon and institution, the City of Rochester Public Market, year-round! Avoid Saturday parking and traffic challenges by riding the bus, cycling, or walking!
By Public Transportation (Bus)
Rochester Regional Transit Service (RTS) bus routes serve the Public Market District. (note: the Market's address is 280 N. Union Street, 14609)
Bus schedules are also available at the Market Office. You can also get information about bus service by calling the RTS customer service line at (585) 288-1700.
By Bicycle
Enjoy the best possible parking at the Market by riding your bike! Bike racks are on the back side of the Market Office (the two-story brick house at the center of the grounds), and near the Union Street, Railroad Street, and Pennsylvania Avenue entrances. Enjoy easier and safer access to the Market via the Scio Street-to-Market grounds bike-pedestrian path, which includes our rail-to-trail pedestrian/bike/trolley bridge over Union Street!

PLUS: There are two Pace Bike Share stations at the Market--one near the Union St. entrance and another near the Railroad St. entrance and Hayward St. pedestrian entrance.
Circulator Trolley
From April through October, the Market operates its own internal transit system in the form of a free tractor-pulled, open-air trolley that circulates throughout the Market grounds and to all the City-owned Market parking lots. Look for the green tractor and red open-air trolley trailer; there are several pick up points.
Walking
The City maintains an excellent sidewalk system in all areas around and leading into the Market. Some employers and organizations in the area have organized walking groups to the Market! If you'd like help organizing such a walking club for your workplace or group, give us a shout at pmarket@cityofrochester.gov.
