If a permitted Special Event takes place on City streets, the event may be subjected to fees for meter bagging to ensure the parking spaces are clear for the event. The rates for bagging meters for Special Events are as follows* :
Festivals:
- $100 per street block per weekday
- Ex: Parcel 5 closure- Elm, Cortland, Langston- $300/weekday
- Ex: MLK Park- Court St from Chestnut to the traffic circle- $100/weekday
Races/Athletic Events:
- $300 flat fee for the course
Film Shoots:
- Billed the current parking rate per space
Parades:
- City does not bill for any services since it’s 1st Amendment covered speech
