City R-Centers adjust hours to accommodate children affected by boil-water notice, school closure

City of Rochester R-Centers will adjust their hours Wednesday to accommodate students during a Rochester City School District closure prompted by the Highland Park Reservoir Boil-Water Notice affecting parts of Rochester.

All City R-Centers will be open until noon to 7 p.m. Wednesday with the exception of two that will open earlier. They are: the Trenton and Pamela Jackson R-Center, 485 N. Clinton, open from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.; and the David F. Gantt R-Center, 700 North St., open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Children who visit the centers during these hours will be provided a snack and dinner. R-Centers are adhering the Boil Water Notice by covering water fountains and distributing bottled water to attendees.
