About the Project  

The West River Wall is located along the west side of the Genesee River adjacent to Exchange Boulevard, directly east of the Corn Hill Neighborhood within the Center City Downtown District. The site extends from Corn Hill Landing south to the Ford Street Bridge in the City of Rochester. The length of the wall is approximately 2,200 feet. This section of wall was previously characterized by a crumbing concrete flood control wall, overgrown vegetation, trail deficiencies and lack of public access to the River and its view sheds.

The City of Rochester hosts a number of parades year round. Some of the major parades downtown are listed below along with their anticipated street closures. Visit their sites or call the parade organizers directly for more information.

The Employer Assisted Housing Initiative Program provides an incentive for private employers to encourage their employees to purchase homes in the City of Rochester.

How does it work ?

Employers provide a minimum $1,000 benefit to employees purchasing a home in the City of Rochester. The City of Rochester will match the employer benefit dollar-for-dollar up to $3,000. Please note: Buyer must first apply and be approved for the program, including meeting with Homebuyer Services, prior to executing an offer.
