Property Manager Code Compliance Score

Background

This project was supported by grant funding from the NYS Attorney General’s Office, via the Enterprise Community Partners’ Cities RISE program. The program is intended to support innovative projects to advance equitable code enforcement. The Property Manager/Owner scoring system was envisioned to provide an objective and transparent public scoring system that could be used to drive improvements in code compliance. It could be used by City staff to target enforcement, as well as provide tenants better insight when making decisions on who to rent from.

Adopt a dog

Sponsored dogs

Many of our dog's adoption fees are generously sponsored by partners such as Colleen Bracci and the CB Real Estate Team, Rochester Woman Online, and All Access CBD Dogs. Dogs whose fees are sponsored are indicated in their profile picture below. To take advantage of these offers, visit Rochester Animal Services and speak with the front desk.

Rochester Animal Services is enormously grateful to our partners for making this possible.

Frederick Douglass Statues

City Celebrates Legacy of Frederick Douglass with Statue Restoration

In continued celebration of Frederick Douglass’ legacy, the City of Rochester has acquired 10 of the Frederick Douglass statues originally created for the “Year of Douglass” Bicentennial Commemoration in 2018.

The statues will be temporarily removed to undergo repair and restoration before returning to the community in new indoor locations where they will be protected from the elements and continue to bring life to Douglass’ legacy for years to come.
