History
The Food Truck Rodeos at the Public Market began in 2011, when Market Director Jim Farr attended a similar event at a fairground outside of Orlando, Florida.
Upon his return, he spoke to staff and John Urlaub, owner of Rohrbach’ s Brewery located adjacent to the Market, and together they developed the model that has become a popular family-themed, eat-a thon with live music! It is not unusual to have over 40 food trucks and carts at a single Food Truck Rodeo.
Held on the last Wednesday of the months of April through September, the Food Truck Rodeos often draw more than 5,000 hungry patrons from throughout the Rochester region.
