The diverse floor plans address a range of needs, including extra storage space for larger households and those with children; single-story homes for aging in place and/or mobility concerns; and accommodations for those with special needs. The homes will be Energy Star 3.0 certified and will include all-electric heat pump heating and cooling systems.
Greater Rochester Habitat for Humanity (GRHFH) is a non-denominational Christian housing ministry dedicated to eliminating substandard housing in Monroe, Ontario, and Wayne Counties. Families and individuals in need of a hand-up partner with GRHFH to purchase their home through an affordable mortgage after working alongside volunteers to build or improve a place they can call home. Since 1984, GRHFH and its volunteers have served more than 450 families with new homes, much-needed home repairs, and financial education.
