Jones Square Park occupies a six-acre block in the northwest quadrant of the city. In its early days, the park was used as marching grounds for Civil War soldiers and was one of Rochester's earliest baseball fields. Later, the park was redesigned by famed landscape architect Frederick Law Olmsted. This neighborhood park features a historic fountain, benches, and plenty of trees to shade visitors from the warm summer sun.
