Categories: Public Market, and Things To Do Motorist Advisory - Rochester Lilac Festival Parade to Affect Traffic this Saturday (Thursday, May 11, 2023) – The 2023 Rochester Lilac Festival Parade will affect traffic on Saturday, May 13. Participants will begin staging at 8 a.m. along Science Parkway and the side streets off South Avenue between Science Parkway and Elmwood Avenue. Traffic along South Avenue will be affected at this time. Roads between Elmwood Avenue and E. Henrietta Road including Booth Street, Warren Street, Rosemont Street, and Fort Terrace will be closed to traffic at 9:15 a.m. All affected streets will re-open as soon as the final participant moves along the parade route. May 04, 2023 News Release - Mayor Evans Announces 27th Rochester Summer Soul Music Festival Lineup Mayor Malik D. Evans was joined today by Varick Baiyina, President and CEO of Xperience Live Events, and Deborah Brundage from MVP Health Care to announce the two-day lineup of entertainers for the 27th Rochester Summer Soul Music Festival, which will take place Friday and Saturday, Aug. 18 and 19. Mayor Evans also announced that the festival will be held at Parcel 5 Downtown this year. Motorist Advisory - Portion of S. Goodman Street Closing May 5 A small portion of S. Goodman Street – from Highland Avenue to Pinetum Drive – will be closed from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Friday, May 5, 2023.
