Take the community-wide survey to address opioid epidemic
The City of Rochester is offering a community-wide survey aimed at understanding the local impact of the opioid epidemic. This critical initiative underscores our shared commitment to combating one of the most pressing public health challenges facing our community.
The survey, administered in partnership with the Rochester Institute of Technology's Center for Public Safety Initiatives, seeks input from residents on a range of topics, including quality of life, barriers to accessing care, overdose prevention strategies, and the impact on families. The results will guide the city’s strategic use of $3.8 million in state opioid settlement funds, which we are set to receive by 2025. These funds will support programs that reduce the devastating effects of opioid misuse across Rochester.
Key Details for Employees:
- Survey Availability: The survey is now live and can be accessed at CityofRochester.gov/OpioidCrisis. It will remain open through February 2025.
- Your Role: As city employees, you play an essential role in encouraging participation. Share this information with residents and assist those who may face challenges in completing the survey.
This is an opportunity for all of us to amplify our efforts to address the opioid crisis in Rochester. Whether by sharing information, helping community members engage, or contributing as residents ourselves, every action helps shape a healthier future for our city.
The voices of our residents will ensure that resources are allocated effectively and reflect the community’s needs. Thank you for your continued dedication to serving Rochester and its people.
