      Lunsford Circle Park

Lunsford Circle is located in the Corn Hill neighborhood on the city's southwest side, and is named for an early prominent African American physician. The beautifully-designed circular greenspace features manicured gardens and a gazebo that serves as a stage for musicians during the Corn Hill Arts Festival and doubles as a meeting place for neighbors year-round.

Frederick Douglass Susan B. Anthony Memorial Bridge

The Frederick Douglass-Susan B. Anthony Memorial Bridge carries Interstate 490 over the Genesee River in downtown Rochester. Since its completion in July, 2007 this "three-arch bridge" has captured the interest of photographers and civil engineering enthusiasts for its visual interest and structural significance. It is named after two of the United States' most important civil rights pioneers, who called Rochester home. They are buried in the City's Mt. Hope Cemetery.

Conkey Corner Park & El Camino Trail

Conkey Corner Park and El Camino Trail are the result of the dedication of the Genesee Land Trust, which had the vision of turning an old railroad right of way into a playground and recreational trail. The Genesee Land Trust worked with the City of Rochester, IBERO and other community partners to create the trail and also a new neighborhood park at the corner of Conkey and Clifford Avenues. The park includes a playground, benches, and perennial gardens.

      Charlotte Cemetery

Charlotte Cemetery, located near the Port of Rochester, is the burial place for many early settlers of the city's northwest side, including the Latta family.

It is also the resting place of famed early daredevil, Sam Patch, who attempted to jump off of the 83-ft High Falls of the Genesee River.

      Genesee Gateway Park

Genesee Gateway Park is located along the river between the Ford Street Bridge and downtown Rochester. The Genesee Riverway Trail, runs through the park, connecting to Genesee Valley Park going south and to the Roc City Skatepark and downtown going north. The park features a unique playground, full-court basketball court, picnic areas, and a car-top boat launch (equipped to handle canoes, kayaks, etc.).

      Jones Square Park

Jones Square Park occupies a six-acre block in the northwest quadrant of the city. In its early days, the park was used as marching grounds for Civil War soldiers and was one of Rochester's earliest baseball fields. Later, the park was redesigned by famed landscape architect Frederick Law Olmsted. This neighborhood park features a historic fountain, benches, and plenty of trees to shade visitors from the warm summer sun.
