Passports

The City Clerk's Office (located in City Hall, 30 Church Street, Room 100A, Rochester, NY 14614) issues passports to American citizens. Passport applications are processed between the hours of 9:30 a.m. and 4 p.m.

We can not accept a passport application from the U.S. Department of State website printed on both front and back. Please print the application one-sided if you are bringing it with you to the office.

About the program

There are nearly 280 bridges that lie within the City's limits. The City of Rochester has primary ownership and maintenance responsibility for 30 of these bridges, and partial maintenance responsibility for an additional eighteen bridges that carry city streets over state highways. The remainder of the bridges are either privately owned, or owned by New York State or the County of Monroe.
