The City of Rochester sits on the southern shore of mighty Lake Ontario, one of the Great Lakes, and the fourteenth largest lake in the world. Rochester is truly a Great Lake City, with its waterfront being the beautiful and fascinating end of the line of the spectacular Genesee River.
Located in the northwest quadrant of the city, this neighborhood park provides an abundance of recreation options, including a large greenspace for football or soccer, a full-court basketball court, and a modern playground.
Located in the East End District of downtown Rochester and adjacent to the Strong Museum, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial Park (formally Manhattan Square Park) is a popular gathering place. The park boasts grassy berms, a historic urban fountain, a skating rink, playground and much more.
Located in the city's northeast quadrant, this park features abundant greenspace, a half-court basketball court, an updated playground and a water spray feature in the summer!
Farmington Park, located in the southeast quadrant's North Winton Village, boasts public tennis courts, a half-court basketball court, and ball fields.
Maplewood Park is located in the northwest quadrant of the city and is one of two original parks laid out by Frederick Law Olmsted to highlight the Genesee River.
Pulaski Park is a 7-acre neighborhood park located between North Street and Carter Street. The park features lush greenspace and winding pathways.
