Building owners registry (BOR)

Overview

Rochester City Code section 90-20 requires owners of properties in the City of Rochester to complete a Building Owner Registry (BOR) application for each property they own that has a building. This has historically been collected as part of the Certificate of Occupancy renewal process. The City Code was updated in March 2023 to add additional requirements related to LLC owners. The new LLC owner disclosure requirement goes into effect 1/1/2024.

Bull's Head Redevelopment Project

With over $10 million in public investment for predevelopment and planning activities, the City is making available for redevelopment an area totaling over 12 acres in the heart of the Bull’s Head community. In response to this ongoing public investment and with a majority of these activities completed, the City has selected a qualified developer to advance the long-awaited revitalization of this important community hub.

Heritage Trail

What is the Heritage Trail?

Come and explore history in downtown Rochester on The Heritage Trail, a 1.25-mile long walking path that leads visitors to 15 points of historical significance. This self-guided tour follows an 8” wide line of either granite or blue paint on city sidewalks, along the way visitors will find historical markers, plaques, and interpretive signs telling some of the stories that make up Rochester’s rich history.
