The Goodman Section of the Rochester Police Department (RPD) is commanded by Rochester Police Capt. Jason A. Elwood. Goodman Section is comprised of nine patrol beats, numbered 205, 215, 225, 235, 245, 255, 265, 275 and 285.

• Must be at least 19 years of age and not have reached their 35th birthday on or before the date of the written test (except as defined in Section 243 (10-a) of the Military Law), and must be at least 20 years of age at the time of appointment.
