Cooking in the Public Market Nutrition Education Center

Inside the indoor "B" Shed at the Market, the Market Nutrition Education Center is designed to host a wide array of community nutrition and culinary programs, during both regular Market hours, and occasionally off hours. With a variety of schedule, hosts, and programming, the Public Market Nutrition Education Center adds even more community offerings and opportunities at the Market.

On Thursdays at 9 a.m. and 10 a.m. between March and December you're likely to find Foodlink's Just Say Yes to Fruits and Vegetables whipping up some healthy goodness in the kitchen; on Saturdays, an array of community culinary enterprises can be found cooking and sampling from the space!

If you're lucky, you may also find a local chef producing a live episode of Market Flavors-- this is a tasty partnership of the City of Rochester's What's Good Rochester initiative and WXXI Public Broadcasting. Check out the Market Flavors productions to date:

Market Flavors Ep. 1: Pan-Seared Lamb Chops & Weeknight Ratatouille with Guest Chefs Shaun Nelms and Charlie Colbert

Market Flavors Ep. 2: Rasta Pasta & Jerk Chicken with Kayjona Rogers

Market Flavors Ep. 3: Caribbean Rice Pineapple Bowls with Chef Johanna "Jo Jo" of Me Gusta Restaurant
