Rochester Public Library Board Meeting (joint meeting with the Monroe County Library System)

The Rochester Public Library (RPL) is governed by a Board of Trustees of not less than 5 nor more than 15 members, appointed by the Rochester City Council.
All Board meetings are open to the public except for Executive Sessions. Citizens are welcome to address the Board of Trustees for a maximum of three minutes. To address the Board about an issue on a particular Library Board meeting agenda, please call 585-428-8046 or email debi.mansour@libraryweb.org by 4:00 p.m. on the day before the meeting and provide name, address, organization represented (if any), and the topic. 

Monroe County Library System Board Meeting (joint meeting with Rochester Public Library)

The Monroe County Library System (MCLS) is governed by an 11-member Board of Trustees, appointed by the Monroe County Legislature. The Board sets MCLS policy, provides advice and direction to MCLS administration, and supports library advocacy efforts and collaboration among member libraries. The downtown library serves as the Central Library of Rochester and Monroe County.

All regular meetings are open to the public. Citizens are welcome to address the Board of Trustees for a maximum of three minutes.

Mayor Malik D. Evans and Santa Claus will be leading the celebration, and we'll be treated to special performances by the School of the Arts choir and orchestra. The magnificent tree, adorned with sparkling lights and ornaments, creates a magical atmosphere in our historic City Hall atrium.
