Dead Animal Removal

About the Program

The City of Rochester provides dead animal removal and disposal service to its residents for animals that have died naturally or been accidentally killed. After a request for removal has been made, the dead animal remains must be placed between the sidewalk and the curb, preferably in a plastic or paper bag. Animals or parts of animals from slaughterhouses are not included in this service.

Who Can Be Married?

  • Couples, age 18 and over, possessing a valid New York State marriage license can be married by the City Clerk, by appointment only.  
  • Witnesses for the ceremony must be 18 years of age or older.
  • There is a $75 fee for all wedding ceremonies, which must be paid at the City Clerk's Office, Room 100A, prior to the ceremony

Rochester's Environmental Job (REJob 3.0) Training Program

The City of Rochester's Environmental Job Training Program (REJob 3.0) is a highly successful program assists dislocated workers and unemployed individuals obtain sustainable, long-term employment in the general construction and environmental remediation fields. To date, 100% of ReJob candidates have graduated from the program and received environmental remediation careers upon completion of the training program.

When Do I Need a Special Event Permit?

The Office of Special Events issues permits for events that meet all of the following criteria:
