The Crisis Intervention Services (CIS) is a unit of the City's Department of Recreation and Human Services. The goal of the office is to create a comprehensive, community-based response to support victims and families dealing with homicides, mental health, domestic violence, and other related crises.
The Council President, chosen by the nine members of Council for a two-year term, assigns legislation to one of the Council's four standing committees. The primary function is to review all proposed legislation and to recommend adoption, consideration, or rejection by the entire Council, either as written or with amendments. An Office of Public Integrity Internal Audit examines a City program or activity and recommends solutions to issues if warranted.

This project included pavement milling and resurfacing, accessible curb ramp upgrades, some curb and sidewalk replacement, pavement markings, and repair of manholes, receiving basins, and water valve castings. The existing traffic signal at the Jay Street and Glide Street intersection were replaced with a 4-way stop.
