This 1.5-acre site is located along the Genesee River and Mt. Hope Avenue in the thriving South Wedge neighborhood, down the road from the University of Rochester campus and Strong Memorial Hospital. It is also minutes from downtown Rochester. The site is amid a park setting and benefits from thousands of cars traveling by the site every day.

Vacant structures can harm the quality of life in the surrounding neighborhood.  Blighted vacant structures and those which are unsecured and have poorly maintained yards can have a compounding effect on our resident's ability to sustain or enhance their neighborhood.  As such, the City of Rochester has an aggressive policy of monitoring vacant structures as per §90-17 of the City Code.

Information About Registered Sex Offenders in New York State 

The Rochester Police Department (RPD) is committed to providing the community access to legally obtainable information regarding sex offenders residing in the City of Rochester. The NYS Department of Criminal Justice Services (DCJS) is the central repository for information regarding registered sex offenders residing in New York State. 

 

Each fall, the city is blanketed with leaves from approximately 70,000 public trees located along City streets and in City parks and cemeteries.
